This photo is of the prototype during the
earlier phases of construction.
November 15th, 2008 2.5hrs - 426.0 total. Finished tracing and laying out all of the 1/4 bulkhead peices. Planned for
and bought 3 sheets of 1/4 plywood, but managed to get them all on one sheet with a big section left over. Rough cut
all the pieces out.  The new jigsaw blades made a huge difference in the speed and greatly reduced splintering. Cleaned
up the shop a bit
November 16th 2008 3.5hrs - 429.5 total. Started fine cutting of the bulkhead pieces.
November 17th 2008 2.5hrs - 432.0 total.  Finished fine cutting.  Drilled some starter holes for larger interior cutouts
and made tose cuts with handheld jigsaw.
November 18th 2008 6.0hrs - 438.0 total.  Sanded all 1/4 inch bulkheads to shape.  Now need to drill all the
lightening holes.
November 12th, 2008 3.5 hrs - 415.0 total. Started
tracing templates onto wood and continued triming
November 13th, 2008 5.0hrs - 420.0 total.  Continued
tracing, laying out and trimming bulkhead templates.
November 14th, 2008 3.5hrs - 423.5 total.  Continued
tracing, laying out and trimming bulkhead templates.
Almost done!
All 1/4" bulkheads rough cut out.
All 1/4" bulkheads after fine cutting with band saw and sanding to size with disk
sander and thimble sander.  Still need to drill lightening holes. All of the notches in
the external edges of the bulkheads are cut undersize to allow final fitting of
stringers as many of them pass through at an angle.
